Dar es Salaam: IR3 visas issued

Immigrant visa: Orphan adopted abroad by U.S. citizen

Visas issued, Mar 2025 – Feb 2026

none since Sep 2023

The State Department’s scheduling tool does not list adoption cases.

Visas issued show how busy the post is, not how long you will wait.

Most immigrant visa applicants at Dar es Salaam are citizens of Tanzania, and their immigrant visas are suspended. They can still get an interview, but may not get a visa. Dual nationals who apply with the passport of a country not covered are an exception.
